Texting and Cell Phones
We are having some issues with students, cell phones, and texting. We want everyone to be clear on the cell phone policy at East. If a student brings a cell phone to school, it needs to be off and in their locker during school hours. If phones are out, they will be confiscated and turned into the office. The first time is a warning and the student will get their phone back at the end of the day. The second time, parents will be called to come pick up a students cell phone in the office. The third time, a student will not get their cell phone back until the end of the school year.
Please also understand that students are responsible for anything written in a text message on their cell phone. If ever a message is forwarded...make sure you read it clearly first and it is a message that you truly want to send.
